Oscarr South Florida's New Kid To "Fuck It Up" The South Florida renaissance is here, like it or not. Artists such as Kodak Black and Lil Pump are gaining mainstream traction while others like Pouya and Wifisfuneral are dominating the underground. Call it mumble rap, clout rap, SoundCloud rap, punk-rap, whatever you want to call it, this movement is nationally recognized at the forefront of hip-hop. The next artist to capitalize on this era is Oscarr. With his new single "Fuck It Up" he brings all the elements that make the South Florida scene so unique. Production from Felmax, one of the pioneers of this gritty, eerie, and dark sound that is clearly an evolution of trap music "Fuck It Up" is the perfect instrumental for Oscarr's single. The polarizing performance from Oscarr and Guff on this beat displays all of the star-like qualities that contemporaries like XXXtentacion and Yung Simmie have displayed on their underground come-up. There is clearly a lot of shock-value coming from these two in their lyrics and the visual is here to match that energy. The video directed by GFXKID provides imagery to all of the madness in the lyrics. The second coming of Kaydence & R.C, is by far the most creative yet. 'Rainforest' is a mixture of the current melodic trap sound with focal hints of artistry & actual lyricism. The lyric “Green Green, Rain Forest, the only color I see” is an obvious reference to the focus on getting money. However throughout the verses, the word play capability of these two artists' is evident and refreshing. (Louisville, KY) - Born in Chicago and raised in Louisville aka "Derby City," rapper Solo LaMaze always loved music and as a youth found himself listening to music almost every hour of the day. Getting started early Solo picked up the mic and began rapping at the age of 11 after developing a passion for the battle rap scene and released his first project Year of Solo in 2003 That 2003 project was followed up by his Synthetic Dope LP where he was the executive producer,engineering and producing the entire project on his own. "It was a no brainer" to begin making music," Solo LaMaze explained. "I was influenced by the greats like Jay Z Wayne, Jeezy and Kanye." In addition to drawing inspiration from some of the greatest rappers of all time, Solo Lamaze also found himself producing music and following the sounds of Dr.Dre, Timberland, Mannie Fresh, DJ Paul and Juicy J. This desire to create led Solo LaMaze to opening his own studio called Organized Swagg where before the age of 18 he subsequently released several projects including Bowel Movement, Beast Mode Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, Rare Form” and “Sushi Sushi Sushi. "My music is candy with the medicine in it, I entertain and slide in a message simultaneously," he said. The philosophy about his music has apparently worked and since then his credits as producer include the likes of David Banner, Beanie Sigel, Juvenile, Sean Paul of the Young Bloods, Kool Daddy Fresh, Twista, J-Kwon, Mr. Serve On, and Young Bleed. Also, ironically besides Lil Wayne, Solo LaMaze was the last person to work with Grammy Award winning rapper Static Major before his untimely death, an experience he’ll never forget. Reflecting on the past, but still looking forward Solo Lamaze is getting ready to tour in South Florida in February and has several spot dates where he is planning on performing through the Winter. Until then Solo is grateful for the outpouring of support he has received over the years as he continues pushing his music. "Thank for all the support you guys been giving me and I wont let you down. "Paradise" is an introspective trip into the mind of Produkt, a seasoned hip-hop veteran from The Bronx. Produkt has built a name for himself over the years as a street-smart lyricist with a lot of range as an artist. "Paradise" is a single from Produkts most recent effort "Change The Frequency" which is available now on all major streaming platforms. The single is backed by a black and white visual that flawlessly captures the essence of Produkts energy on this record. The gritty imagery in Produkts lyrics are a testament to his life experiences and the very skeletal, jazzy instrumental gives the emcee enough space to eloquently deliver his rhymes. Produkt raps "Troubled youth, but a stargazer/ philly blunts til the stars gave up, concrete heat through the streets, the scars caged us, Mobb Deep beats on repeat the stars raised us" it is clear that Produkt comes from the golden-era of New York hip-hop and his authenticity is on full display here. Although the verses may be tackling a lot of the hardships of Produkts reality, the hook on this is very motivational and triumphant which gives an overall positive feel to the theme of this record. This record is backed by an undeniable hook with a melody that is as infectious as Kayana's personality on this record. "All Night Long" is definitely an anthem for anyone looking to function as the title implies but there is much more layers to Kayana's character than just partying. Unfortunately, Ziico Niico is fighting a case for conspiracy charges, which has been a difficult obstacle thrown his way while trying to reach the next level in his career. The chemistry between Hajji and Dusty is clear on this record where they provide deeply rooted cultural influences in a way that comes off very natural. The autotune-driven hook is enough to catch the listeners ear, but it is the well put together verses that string this track together. It is clear that Hajji has mastered his pen game with lyrical mechanics that reflect more of a east coast emcee rather an Afrobeat singer.
